About Food for Wellness

Health and Wellness

Many people define health as the absence of disease.  Health and wellness really incorporate more than just disease prevention, and include an overall satisfaction with and enjoyment of life.  Different groups identify several different dimensions of health, generally ranging from five to eight unique areas.  For our purposes, we have chosen to focus on six: physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and occupational health.  The combination of these lead to good health.  Our philosophy at Food for Wellness is that people generally are able to achieve good health, and they may need assistance to optimize health in certain areas.
